Our heroes, Kimono and Chibby set out with Momo & Mitzi the Marmosets on a quest of life, death and music fleeing 'The Disappearing'. Along the way they meet an array of oddball characters as they travel through deserts, to the city and across the sea. The World of Kimono & Chibby is populated by diverse characters, animated using a wide variety of styles and techniques. This film features music by Amsterdam-based band The Doppelgangers and the seminal Japanese psychedelic rock band Acid Mothers Temple. Directed by Fay Heady, graduate of HKU University of Arts Utrecht and Tama Art University Tokyo, she has worked on productions such as Netflix series Cyberpunk, Alice in Borderland & Yu Yu Hakusho.
Future Vision Festival has so far popped up at SubStore Tokyo, Nanigotoya Osaka, Pride Centre Osaka, Copy House Gallery Osaka, NAMBAR10 Swissôtel Nankai Namba, Bitsummit Indie Game Festival Kyoto, Osaka Pop Con, Vrij Paleis Amsterdam, Vondelbunker Amsterdam, Nieuwland Amsterdam and Arcade Hotel Amsterdam.
